Jetzt ist es endlich raus! Die letzten Tage wurde viel spekuliert und nun bestätigte Square Enix den offiziellen Releasetermin von Final Fantasy XIII für den Westen. Das Rollenspiel erscheint In den USA und Europasimultan am 9. März 2010 für PlayStation 3 und Xbox 360. Das PEGI-Rating besitzt eine Altersfreigabe ab 16 Jahren.
In dem epischen Ankündigungsvideo findet ihr unter anderem neue Spielszenen, die unter anderem das Paradigm Shift während den Kampfszenen zeigt. Des Weiteren seht ihr Lightning auf einem Chocobo durch die Welt wandern. Zudem gibt es noch Entwicklerinterviews.
Doch das ist noch nicht alles: Im Gegensatz zur japanischen Version wird ein echter Superstar das Theme Song singen. Leona Lewis höchstpersönlich wurde die ehrenhafte Aufgabe erteilt. Das Lied befindet sich auf ihrem Album Echo und nennt sich "My Hands". Für die Single wird ein spezielles Final Fantasy XIII Musikvideo entworfen. Hier könnt ihr euch die Ballade schon einmal anhören:
Microsoft hat sich noch eine ganz tolle Vermarktungsstrategie einfallen lassen. Auf der offiziellen Seite von Xbox.com findet ihr eine Kampagne, bei der ihr eine Twitter-Nachricht verschicken müsst. Wenn der angezeigte Balken voll ist, wird der geheime Preis enthüllt und alle Teilnehmer erhalten Zugang dafür.
Square Enix wird außerdem die sogenannte "Lucky 13 Campaign" starten. Am 13. des jeweiligen Monats werden neue Informationen zu dem sehnlich erwarteten Rollenspiel veröffentlicht. Multi-Platinum Singer Songwriter Leona Lewis Offers Brand New Song "My Hands" As Game's Theme Song

highly anticipated street date for FINAL FANTASY® XIII. This latest
project in the multi-platinum FINAL FANTASY series promises to be
intensely compelling and will be available for both the PlayStation®3
computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and
entertainment system from Microsoft on 9th March 2010.
FINAL
FANTASY XIII marks the dawning of a new era for the celebrated series,
bringing the series to multiple hi-definition consoles simultaneously
for the first time in its history. Expanding upon the rich tradition of
the series, producer Yoshinori Kitase (FINAL FANTASY VII, X, X-2),
director Motomu Toriyama (FINAL FANTASY VII, X, X-2), character

director Isamu Kamikokuryo (FINAL FANASY X, XII) combine their creative
vision to deliver the latest masterpiece in the FINAL FANTASY universe.
Additionally, Masashi Hamauzu (FINAL FANTASY X, DIRGE of CERBERUS
-FINAL FANTASY VII-) presents a sweeping soundtrack while movie
director Takeshi Nozue (FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN) and his team
of artists adorn the game with seamless cinematic sequences of
unparalleled calibre.
“FINAL FANTASY XIII promises to be a huge

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated
singer and songwriter Leona Lewis has come on board with Square Enix to
provide the theme song for FINAL FANTASY XIII. The song is entitled "My
Hands," and is featured on her highly-anticipated second album ECHO (J
Records/Syco Music) set for release on November 16th. Leona Lewis took
the music world by storm with her 2008 6x platinum debut album Spirit
which features her chart topping, biggest selling single of 2008
"Bleeding Love," and mega-hit "Better In Time.”

Finde ich nicht so begeistert, da einfach mal song xy von einem Weltstar(?) reinzukleistern. Da hätte schon eine exklusive, maßgeschneiderte Nummer hergemusst.
